UD Involvement:

I’m an officer for the outing club, a member of the Down to Earth food Co-op, and an employee at UD’s rock gym.

Most exciting UD memory:

I got to lead an Outing Club trip to Oregon and Washington over winter break with some of my best friends! It was amazing.

Why I chose Delaware:

I wanted to study art, but leave the doors open to explore other classes. Delaware has let me be well rounded in my academic exploration.

Advice for a new student:

Be your whole self. Independence is about finding out who you are, and college is the time to learn about yourself!

Advice for their parents:

College is a big transition for parents, too. Now that the house is empty, its time to focus on you! You’ve earned it!

How I decided on my major:

I live for hands-on work, and Fine Arts lets me do that. I’ll be in the darkroom developing photos in the morning, and then welding steel in the afternoon. Each day is a new adventure!

Favorite memory of my Summit experience:

The fireside chats! After a long day of hiking, there’s nothing better than sitting around a campfire for some meaningful conversation.

Favorite outdoor adventure:

Hiking in the Adirondacks

Interesting fact:

I like spontaneous dancing, and I do it a lot.

Favorite song:

"Chelsea Dagger" by The Fratellis

Favorite spot on Main Street:

Ramen Kumamoto
