Student Environmental Sustainability Day Video Contest
Deadline: October 8

As part of the three days of events leading up to the launch of the Delaware Environmental Institute, October 22 has been disignated Student Environmental Sustainability Day.

The organizing team, including the Student Government Association, invites undergraduate students to submit a 5 minute video presentation that has a focus on environmental sustainability in the community.

Submitted videos will stream in Memorial Hall during the daylong activities that will take place on The Green.

Three finalists will be chosen from the submissions and those students will receive a $300 scholarship voucher that can be used for books or other student-related expenses.

In order to have your video considered, e-mail an abstract of no more than 250 words to tolpisarcz@gmail.com by October 8.

Groups are limited to a maximum of 3 members.

Student Environmental Sustainability Day Call for Posters
Deadline: October 8

As part of the three days of events leading up to the launch of the Delaware Environmental Institute, October 22 has been disignated Student Environmental Sustainability Day.

The organizing team invites graduate students to submit posters on research topics related to environmental issues such as climate change, contamination and remediation, and ecosystem health.

New projects are welcome, but projects from previously completed original research are also acceptable.

Thirty entries will be given the opportunity to present and three finalists will be selected.

The three finalists will receive a $300 travel voucher for use in presenting their poster at a conference.

Submissions are limited to one per person. To be considered, e-mail an abstract of no more than 250 words to ud.graduatestudentssenate@gmail.com.

Accepted posters should be mounted on 3 x 4 foot foam board.

Project Have Hope T-Shirt Design Contest
Deadline: October 23

Design a new Project Have Hope T-shirt and win a trip to Uganda with PHH in January 2010.

CommUNITY Impact Essay Contest

Eligibility: Current freshman, low-income and first-generation college student

Write a 500-1000 word essay answering the following question:
What kind of impact do you want to have here at the University of Delaware?

Career Services Student Video Contest

Students are asked to submit a YouTube-type video on the theme "What Career Services Can Do for UD Students"
Students can work alone or in groups.

Videos can be submitted through the UD DropBox service or in person at the Bank of American Career Services Center on Academy St.

Grand Prize is $500
