Use of Trabant University Center and Perkins Student Center
by On Campus Groups
A University recognized organization may request the use of
space within the Student Centers by filling out a room reservation
form from the following link: Stuorg
Reservation Form | Dept.
Reservation Form
- A
recognized student organization’s representative may
submit a room reservation form requesting use of space within
the Student
Centers. The form asks for specific information regarding
the purpose(s) for which the space is to be used and proposed
dates
for such use.
- The
room reservation request form must be submitted at least 10
days prior to the date the space is desired.
- The
Associate Director of the Student Centers for Activities and
Programs may ask, if in his or her judgment such a space request
is necessary and may deny such a request if it is deemed unnecessary.
Space use is encouraged in order to assist a group to meet its
responsibilities and promote worthwhile projects specifically
in keeping with the sponsor’s purposes as a recognized
student organization or campus administrative unit. Use of space
is generally intended to provide service, information, or conveniences
to the campus community. The sponsoring student group or administrative
unit is reminded that the use of space must reflect the provisions
of other existing University policies, namely “Speaker
Policy”, “Regulations Regarding Support of a Political
Party or Political Candidates”, “Distribution of
Published Materials on Campus”, and other policy statements
relating to the use of campus and the Student Centers by groups
and visitors.
The University may refuse
the use of its facilities to otherwise eligible on-campus groups
if the proposed activity would require an unreasonable amount
of University supervision or service, or where there is a question
concerning the safety of the participants or propitious use
of University property.
