Chapter Assessment Program
All Chartered Fraternities and Sororities at the University
of Delaware must participate in the Chapter Assessment Program
(CAP) which is processed and evaluated each semester by the Activities
and Programs Office. Chapters are evaluated on academic standing,
community involvement, chapter management, and member development.
Social and recruitment privileges are determined by the achieved level of assessment:
Gold, Silver, Bronze, Satisfactory, or Needs Improvement. The University
expects that all chapters will maintain at least a "Satisfactory" level
and strive for the best. Chapters that receive a "Needs Improvement" rating
are immediately on probation for one semester and must increase to at least
a "Satisfactory" level by the next evaluation period. Chapters
on probation that fail to improve are automatically suspended by the University
for at least a year.
