Sigma Alpha Mu has been an established fraternity nationwide since the year of 1909. Here at the University of Delaware, Sigma Alpha Mu has stood strong on this campus since 1991. We pride ourselves on making the most out of the wonderful opportunities that Greek life here has provided for each and every one of us. Currently, our brotherhood is represented by 55 members and we are always looking for new candidates whose intentions are to keep our prestigious reputation intact.

Our chapter takes part in an array of activities each semester that not only concentrates on the social aspects of being apart of a fraternity but centralizes its priority to giving back to others within the community. During the fall semester we have been fortunate enough to mix with other fraternities and sororities whether it is at a third party vendor or at an athletic event hosted by the University. We believe that the bonds we have formed with the other Greek organizations on campus have made for a more exciting undergraduate experience for all of us. Sigma Alpha Mu also believes that it is very critical to have a brotherhood that has a strong respect for each of its members. The brothers of our chapter reside in places all across the United States and we take pride in knowing that different upbringings and unshared experiences has helped us to create a well-rounded organization.

It is our belief that in order to be as successful as we currently are, it is vital to make the most out of the wonderful experience of being apart of our brotherhood. We look for only the most loyal and honorable individuals who plan on passing down the cherished traditions that have been passed onto every Sammy across the country. Every Sigma Alpha Mu chapter gathers at its annual convention in the summer time to discuss how our fraternity can better itself. We are always looking for ways to improve and we feel it is our responsibility to be the best at everything we do. Whether it is on our own campus here at Delaware or at a gathering of numerous chapters, we always find it rewarding to see the positive things that our fraternity has done for people all across the country.

College is an exciting time that comes with the responsibility of making decisions that can affect the rest of your life. Each and every member of S A M feel that choosing to be apart of this brotherhood has been the best decision any of us ever could have made. We enjoy giving back to each other as well as the community here at Newark. We are only looking for students whose intentions are to better themselves and everyone else around them and we plan on never losing sight of the responsibilities that come along with being a member of our organization. Our chapters prized reputation is one in which we will never let anyone take away from us.
