On January 13, 1913, twenty-two visionary women founded Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. at the campus of Howard University.  The Mu Pi chapter was founded on October 26, 1975, by eleven illustrious women as the first historically Black sorority at the University of Delaware.  Currently Delta Sigma Theta has over 250,000 members in chapters all over the world from Germany to Japan.  With one mission, though one sisterhood Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is dedicated to empowering communities through committed service.
