Job Description: A/V Technician
Audio Visual Technicians are responsible for providing superior customer service to the patrons, guests, and visitors to the Student Centers while setting-up and operating; Sound, lighting, projection, and multi-media equipment. AV Technicians are also responsible for providing technical support and assistance to event sponsors before and during programs, performances, lectures, and screenings. AV Technicians must be able to adapt to rapidly changing environments in order to fit the needs of guests. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting, maintaining, cleaning, transporting of equipment, and maintaining a neat and visually attractive work space, as well as other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1) Basic skills operating sound, lighting, projection, and multi-media equipment and willingness to learn.
2) Superior customer service skills.
3) Punctuality, reliability and dependability.
4) Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted.
5) Willingness to work with ladders and scaffolding on a semi-regular basis.
6) Interest in working in a fun, exciting and rewarding environment.
