Activities
Activities & Programs
Students can get involved in extracurricular activities by joining any
one of the more than 170 Registered Student Organizations. In addition,
many recreation and entertainment events are sponsored by this office.

Bacchus Theatre
Bacchus Theatre in Perkins features theatrical perormances by campus and guest
groups, as well as music, dance, and other programs. For more information,
contact Event Services at 831-2633.
Bus Trips
A variety of bus trips are offered throughout the year to New York City,
Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., as well as specialty trips to
museums, shows, shopping, skiing, and many others. For more information,
stop by 217 Trabant.
The Gallery
The versatile Gallery on the main floor in Perkins is used for art shows as well
as special vendors, speakers and other presentations.
Harrington Beach
Harrington Beach, behind Perkins Student Center, provides a large open space
for outdoor performances, volleyball, Greek Games, or "just hangin' out."
The Hen Zone
The Hen Zone, on the lower level of Perkins, is where billiards, ping pong,
air hockey, a super sound system and wide-screen television
provide a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Off-Campus Student Services
Off-campus students who have questions or concerns can get help from the
Activities & Programs Office, or
call 831-2428 Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Movies
The Trabant University Center offers a state-of-the-art 35mm cinema on the
lower level. On weekends during the Fall and Spring semesters, you can find
the latest in recent blockbuster and international films.
Outdoor Patio Events
A variety of events are held during nice weather on the Perkins/Trabant patios.
Registered Student Organizations
The offices for the Delaware Undergraduate Student Congress, Resident
Student Association, Student Centers Programming Advisory Board,
and HOLA are
located on the second floor of the Trabant University Center. Also, several
of the more than 170 Registered Student Organizations are housed on
the second and third floors of Perkins.
Scheduling Events
Information regarding booking a meeting or conference room is available from the
Event Services Office at 831-2633 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Scrounge
The Scrounge hosts a wide variety of special programming, including music, comedy,
films, and other special events. In addition, it is the Perkins dining venue.
Student Media
Students publish their own newspaper and broadcast
live 24-hours-a-day from the Perkins Student Center. The Review,
circulated twice weekly Tuesday and Friday during the fall and spring
semesters, has won several awards for collegiate journalism. WVUD 91.3FM
is operated by students and community volunteers and largely
supported by its loyal listeners throughout the University and community.
