About
the Student Centers
Use
of University Facilities by Individuals and
On-Campus Groups of Trabant University Center
and Perkins Student Center
By resolution of the University Board of
Trustees, the University campus and facilities
are special purpose buildings and grounds and
not open to the public generally. Affirming this
resolution, the Student Centers adopted the
following procedure for permitting guests and
visitors to visit the Trabant University Center
and Perkins Student Center.
- An
invited guest is a person who has received an
invitation to visit the Trabant University
Center or Perkins Student Center by the
University, a University department or a
member of the University for a specific
occasion, conference, special function, tour,
or official visit or program taking place in
the Center.
- Guests
who are invited by a member of the University
to visit the Trabant University Center or the
Perkins Student Center as described above are
limited to the specific occasion for which
they were invited. Guests must be accompanied
by a host while in the Center.
- A
visitor is a person who occasionally uses the
Trabant University Center or Perkins Student
Center services and facilities but who has
not been invited to do so.
- An individual making regular and repeated use
of the Trabant University Center or the
Perkins Student Center and its immediate
environs (patio and parking lot) will not be
regarded as an invited guest or visitor.
- Trabant
University Center and Perkins Student Center
staff are encouraged, when in their judgment
such action is necessary, to ask anyone in
the Trabant University Center or the Perkins
Student Center for identification and
information about their business in the
Trabant University Center or the Perkins
Student Center or its environs.
- Trabant
University Center or Perkins Student Center
staff shall close off, when in their judgment
such action is necessary, certain portions of
the Trabant University Center or the Perkins
Student Center to nonmembers of the
University.
- Trabant
University Center and Perkins Student Center
staff may ask individuals who don't qualify
as guests or visitors (as defined above) to
leave the Trabant University Center or the
Perkins Student Center and its environs.
Individuals who refuse to comply may be
subject to arrest.
