Fraternity and Sorority Life Current Judicial Status

The following Fraternities and Sororities are recognized by the University of Delaware and are allowed to recruit and hold activities: Fraternities: Alpha Epsilon Pi ("A-E-Pi") Alpha Gamma Rho ("A-G-R") Alpha Phi Alpha ("Alphas") Delta Sigma Phi ("Delta-Sig") Kappa Alpha Order ("KA") Kappa Alpha Psi ("Kappas") Kappa Delta Rho ("K-D-R") Kappa Sigma ("Kappa Sig") Lambda Chi Alpha ("Lambda Chi") Lambda Sigma Upsilon ("LSU") Lambda Theta Phi Pi Kappa Phi (PiKep") Phi Beta Sigma ("Sigmas") Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) Phi Sigma Kappa ("PSK") Phi Sigma Pi Sigma Alpha Epsilon ("S-A-E") Sigma Chi Sigma Phi Delta Sigma Phi Epsilon ("SIG Ep") Sigma Pi Theta Chi (sarcastically "OX") Sororities: Alpha Delta Pi ("A-D-Pi") Alpha Epsilon Phi ("A-E-Phi") Alpha Kappa Alpha ("AKA") Alpha Omega Epsilon ("A-O-E") Alpha Phi Alpha Sigma Alpha ("A-S-A") Alpha Xi Delta Chi Omega ("Chi-O") Chi Upsilon Sigma Delta Gamma ("D-G") Delta Sigma Theta ("Deltas") Kappa Alpha Theta ("Theta") Lambda Pi Chi Lambda Theta Alpha ("L-T-A") Phi Beta Chi Sigma Alpha Sigma Alpha Iota ("S-A-I") Sigma Kappa Zeta Phi Beta ("Zetas")

UD Recognized Chapters with Judicial Sanctions Organization Sanction Violation Term Kappa Alpha Deferred Supsension Multiple Violations Through Spring 2010 Omega Psi Phi Deferred Suspension Multiple Violations Through Fall 2009 The above chapters are recognized by the University and their governing council. Their activity level on campus is only affected by their level within the Chapter Assessment Program.   Chapters not recognized by UD but recognized by their National Offices Organization       None       The above chapters are recognized by their National Offices but not by the University of Delaware. You are free to join such organizations but the University has no authority over these chapters and does not sanction their activities on or off campus.   Suspended Chapters not recognized by UD but recognized by their National Organizations Organization Sanction Violation Term Pi Kappa Alpha Suspended Multiple Violations Through Spring 2009 The above chapters have been active at Delaware, but are no longer recognized by the University. They have no campus privileges. As a condition of thier suspension they should not be recruiting on campus and are no longer under the supervision of the University.   Suspended Chapters not Recognized by UD or their National Organization Organization Sanction Violation Alpha Chi Omega Suspended Multiple Violations Alpha Tau Omega Suspended Multiple Violations Kappa Delta Suspended Hazing/Alcohol Phi Kappa Tau Suspended Multiple Violations Sigma Alpha Mu Suspended Indefinite- Pending Investigation Sigma Gamma Rho Suspended Low CAP Score Tau Kappa Epsilon Suspended Hazing/Alcohol The above chapters have been active at Delaware, but are no longer recognized by the University. They have no campus privileges. They should not be recruiting on campus and are no longer under the supervision of the University. In addition, these chapters have had their charters revoked by their National Organizations. Any activity at the University of Delaware labeled as sponsored by one of these organizations is an illegal activity.
