Check Writing Tutorial
When writing a check, be sure to fill out each line legibly. Always remember to record the checks in your ledger.

Be sure to complete the following lines:
1. Date
2. "Pay to the order of": Person or company the check is to
3. The amount spelled out in words with the cents as a fraction of 100
4. The check amount written in numbers
5. Memo line indicating the purpose of the check
Be sure to double check that the amount that is written out and the numeric amount match each other.
Be sure to leave the signature line blank. After completing these steps, your checks must be brought to 218 Trabant for the required signatures.
