Activities
& Programs
The Activities
& Programs Office of the Student Centers is responsible for
many facets of co-curicular involvement at the University. The
four main components of the office are Leadership, Fraternities
and Sororities, Off-Campus life, and Programming. The Leadership
component offers over 170 Registered Student Organizations (clubs)
to get involved with, as well as the opportunity to create a new
group on campus. There are also leadership development opportunities
in conjunction with other departments, and on going training for
student groups.
The Off-Campus
life area works to provide resources, services, and activities
for our off-campus population. The office can assist Off-Campus
students with information about living off-campus, parking on
campus, and getting more involved on campus. In addition, the
area assists Returning Adult Students in cooperation with the
Returning Adult Student Association, RASA.
Finally,
the Programming component offers a wide variety
of campus events ranging from bus trips, to
concerts, to films, to lectures, to outdoor
carnivals. These programs are coordinated with
the Student Centers Programming Advisory Board
(SCPAB) and include a Coffeehouse series, a band
series, and a weekend film series. Most events
are either free or offered at a reasonable
admission charge.
With
so much to do there is no reason not to get more
involved with campus life! Check us
