Latino Enrichment And Resource Network
Mentoring Program
The Student Centers is excited to introduce a new
mentoring program entitled “L.E.A.R.N”-Latino
Enrichment And Resource Network. This program has been created in response to Latino
students throughout many years expressing a desire
to have a mentoring program that could benefit their
community.
The LEARN program will support new students in
their adjustment to college by pairing upperclassmen
with incoming students. The program and its mentors
will help them acclimate to campus, meet other students
of similar backgrounds and interest, as well as
foster a sense of belonging. The program also focuses
on providing a link to academic support and campus
resources and services, encouraging leadership and
professional development, and promoting the multitude
of opportunities to get involved in extracurricular
activities through awareness of campus events, student
organizations, support programs and student life.
