Praxis I

All teacher education candidates must meet established criteria for admission into upper-division professional education study. Praxis II

At its December meeting, the University Council on Teacher Education (UCTE) amended the University's policy on the academic content area test requirement. Effective September 1, 2007 candidates are required to take the Praxis II examination required by the State of Delaware to receive the University's institutional recommendation for certification. Beginning in the Fall 2007, as part of the program requirements and to fulfill NCATE requirements, Secondary Science Education majors will maintain an electronic portfolio. The site is currently under construction by IT staff. The Secondary Science Education program is one of three OSP projects being developed by IT. Students will be introduced to the web site. OSPI
