Congratulations to Susan Gleason for her
Outstanding Education Alumni Award

 The University of Delaware’s Education Alumni Association selected Susan Gleason as a 2007 recipient of the Outstanding Education Alumni Award. Susan received her award on Friday evening at a celebratory dinner at the University & Whist Club on Friday May, 5 2007. In her address to the group, Susan noted her interest and enjoyment in teaching chemistry and science, the supportive teachers and administrators in her school (Middletown High School) and district (Appoquinimink Schoold District), and the opportunities she had received from the University of Delaware.Susan was selected by a national panel of UD alumni. She teaches Chemistry and Coordinated Science and is the Science Department Chair, at Middletown High School. Susan is also adjunct faculty in the Secondary Science Education program, coteaches SCEN 491 Teaching Science in the Secondary School, coordinates the science student teaching at Middletown High School and teaches in Upward Bound. She has also served on numerous state committees and is currently on the Advisory Board for the American Chemical Society's publication Chem Matters. Congratulations Sue!!
