NEWARK, DE -- The University of Delaware women's tennis team continued its dominance of Towson and the College of New Jersey on the second day of the Women’s Tennis Trifecta on Sunday at the Delaware Field House and Carpenter Sports Building courts.

The nine Blue Hen entrants combined to go 29-2 in singles matches and 12-4 in doubles action over the two-day, round-robin tourney, which included no team scoring.

UD won all 16 of its singles matches on Sunday, as senior Susan Pollack and freshman Courtney Fenimore won two matches each in Flight A. At 4-0, Fenimore posted the best record in the flight. Pollack, the Hens’ No. 1 player for the last three years, lost only three games on the way to a pair of easy victories. She moved into eighth on the school’s all-time singles wins list with 52.

In Flight B singles, sophomore Elena Berry finished a fine weekend with a pair of wins, as did junior Amanda Campbell. Meanwhile, senior Alexa Dragonette (right) and freshman Ivana Petrich impressed with two W’s apiece in Flight C, where both went 4-0 for the tournament. Petrich gritted out a ten-point tiebreaker in her first match of the afternoon, topping TCNJ’s Sarah Roser 6-1, 5-7, 10-4.

Senior Brittany Barsky posted two wins in Flight D, where she matched sophomore Kristen Mueller - who also won twice on Sunday - with a 4-0 overall record in the flight. With 54 singles wins to her credit, Barsky is now sixth on the Hens’ all-time list.

Pollack and Fenimore teamed up for a pair of 8-2 routs in Flight A doubles, finishing at 4-0 in the flight, while Campbell and Dragonette were upended by a TCNJ pair in their first match of the day. They rebounded with an 8-6 triumph over a Towson entry. Pollack now has 56 career doubles wins, tied for most in Delaware history.

Berry and Petrich stormed to two wins in Flight B doubles, finishing at 4-0 and giving up just 10 games over the weekend. Barsky and sophomore Laura Honig went 1-1 on the day and 2-2 overall.

The Blue Hens return to action Friday, when they compete in the Maryland Invitational.
