December 5, 1998 Hargrave Military Academy The University of Delaware men's team captured three events and the Blue Hen women won one event at the College Quad Meet at Hargrave Military Academy's Onishi-Davenport Aquatic Center Saturday. In the men's race, Delaware (2-4) lost decisions to Lehigh (228- 125), Davidson (222.5-128.5), and William & Mary (247-106) while the Delaware women (3-3) lost their first meet of the season, falling to Lehigh (247.5-105.5), Davidson (207-146), and William & Mary (226.5-125.5). Delaware won just one race in the women's meet as freshman Jennifer Haus won the 100 freestyle in 54.71. Placing second for the Hens were Haus in the 200 freestyle (1:57.75), Kathryn Fryer in the 100 backstroke (1:01.04) and 100 butterfly (59.49), and Tanya Mainville in the three-meter dive (345.50). |
