at University of Delaware October 31, 1998 Junior Brian Aston won the men's one-meter dive and sophomore Tanya Mainville captured the women's one-meter event to lead the University of Delaware men's and women's swimming and diving teams at the season-opening Delaware Diving Invitational at Rawstrom Pool. Aston (Cheshire/cheshire, CT) won the one-meter diving event with a score of 261.75 and placed second in the three-meter event with a socre of 247.80. West Chester's Brian Ginocchetti won the three-meter event with a score of 273.30. Also for the UD men, sophomore Brian Whyte (Greenwich/Riverside, CT) was third in both the one and three-meter events. On the women's side, Mainville (Cheshire/Cheshire, CT) won the one-meter event with a score of 234.0 and was fourth in the three-meter event with a score of 200.80. Lehigh's Karen Filo won the three-meter with a score of 220.50. Also for the Hens, freshman Suzanne Ryder (Conestoga/Devon, PA) was third in both the one and three-meter events. |
