NEWARK, DE -- For the second consecutive Sunday, Kasie Shover scored the only goal of the game, and Bonnie Mills made two saves to lead the University of Delaware women’s soccer team to a 1-0 win over Towson University on Sunday afternoon.

Shover had scored the game-winner with only 55 seconds remaining in the Hens 1-0 win over James Madison last Sunday. She posted a team-high five shots in Sunday’s win.

Shover (right) lined up to take a corner kick for the Hens with just under 20 minutes remaining. Her kick from the near sideline hooked back towards the goal and deflected off the elbow of the crossbar and far post into the net for her fifth goal of the season.

Delaware (8-4-2, 3-3 CAA) carried play throughout most of the game, outshooting the Tigers (5-7-1, 1-5 CAA) by a 13-4 margin and holding a 7-1 edge in corner kicks. Brandi Daniels made four saves to keep Towson in the game.

The Hens will return to action on Friday when they travel to UNC Wilmington at 7 p.m.
