RICHMOND, VA -- University of Delaware junior Casey McCrudden (right) was named the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week Monday after posting 10 goals and leading the Blue Hens to a 2-0 record this past week.
McCrudden (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern) tallied a career-high six goals in the Blue Hen’s 15-8 victory over St. Bonaventure on Wednesday. Her six goals were the most scored by a single player since Corinne Shuck had six against Ohio State in 2002. She also broke her previous career-high of five goals, which she has now done four times.
The junior posted her second straight hat trick and 14th of her career while posting four goals in a 11-3 victory over Davidson Friday.
Junior Attacker Annie Wagner of James Madison shared the Player of the Week honors with McCrudden. Freshman midfielder Kelly Davis of George Mason was named the league’s Rookie of the Week.
The Blue Hens, who are on a two-game winning streak, will be in action today as they take on Virginia Tech at 4 p.m. at Rullo Stadium.
