RICHMOND, VA-- University of Delaware Freshman Attacker Nicole Flego (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East - at right) was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week Tuesday.

Flego tallied three goals and added two assists in her collegiate debut on Saturday in the Blue Hens’ 15-10 loss at No. 14 Penn State.

Flego recorded Delaware’s first goal of the season at the 14:13 mark of the first half to put the Hens on the board after Penn State scored the first four goals of the game.

The freshman also posted two goals in the second half, at the 18:43 and 25:37 marks, as a late Blue Hen charge would come up short. Flego also assisted on two of Katie Muth’s team-high four goals.

The Blue Hens will next be in action Saturday when they travel to Rutgers for a 1 p.m. start time.
