With the win, Delaware, 10-1 overall, 3-0 in America East and ranked No. 8 in this week's IWLCA Division I Top 20 poll, ran its America East winning streak to 26 straight games and set-up a battle of Top 10 teams Sunday when it travels to Boston University. The Terriers, ranked No. 10, raised their America East mark to 3-0 and 9-2 overall with a 11-8 win over Towson at Nickerson Field Friday afternoon.

Senior attack Kelly Swift (Sparks, MD/Mercy HS), who finished the day with a career-high five goals, scored three times in the first half as Delaware jumped out to a 6-4 lead at the intermission.

Delaware extended that lead to 8-4 on Sarah Edwards' goal with 25:26 remaining. However, the Wildcats (4-6, 2-1 America East) rallied to score five of the next six goals and tie the game, 9-9, on Nicole Moore's tally with 6:29 remaining.

However, the Blue Hens regained the lead just nine seconds later when Ashley Moderacki scored her only goal of the afternoon to begin the decisive 5-0 run. Swift scored against just 42 seconds later to give Delaware a two-goal lead with 5:38 left.

Goals by Liz Walton and Schuck made it a 13-9 game with 3:04 to play. Swift added a late insurance goal with just 42 seconds remaining for the final margin.

New Hampshire held a 35-30 margin in shots, but Blue Hen sophomore goaltender Laurie Tortorelli (Havertown, PA/Haverford HS) recorded 16 saves.

No. 8 Delaware and No. 10 Boston University square off Sunday at 12 noon.
