O'Connell Leads
Blue Hen Comeback With Four
Goals
PHILADELPHIA - The University of Delaware scored
the first five goals of the second half to overcome a
three-goal halftime deficit and moved on to a 12-8
non-league women's lacrosse victory over host Temple Tuesday
afternoon at Geasey Field.
The 11th ranked Blue Hens (12-3), who got four goals from
this week's America East Player of the Week Kate
O'Connell (Mt. de Sales/Columbia, MD), posted their 29th
straight win over an unranked team since 1998. The Blue Hens
will close out the regular season Saturday at America East
