Cindy Johnson scored 20 Points

NEWARK, DE -- Senior guard Cindy Johnson scored a game-high 20 points and junior forward Christina Rible added 17 points and 14 rebounds as the University of Delaware women's basketball team continued to roll with a 79-59 America East victory over New Hampshire at the Bob Carpenter Center Saturday afternoon.

The Blue Hens (16-3, 10-0) continued several streaks as they won their 11th straight game, set a school record with their 14th straight home win, and extended a UD record with their 17th straight regular season conference victory. Delaware's 10-0 start in league play is a school record, surpassing the 9-0 mark by the 1988-89 team when the Hens were a member of the East Coast Conference. Delaware's 11-game win streak is the second longest current streak in NCAA Division I behind No. 1 ranked Notre Dame's 19-game skein.

New Hampshire (6-13, 4-6), which lost its second straight game, was led by center Maren Matthias who came off the bench to score 16 points and pull 14 rebounds in 25 minutes of action. New Hampshire's starters combined for just nine field goals and 28 total points. The Wildcats committed 18 turnovers, were outrebounded 51-36, and shot just 35 percent (21 of 60) from the field, 54 percent from the foul line (15 of 28), and hit just 2 of 11 three-pointers. UNH is now 1-9 on the road this season.

Johnson, Delaware's leading scorer at 18.2 ppg, connected on 12 of 17 free throws for her 20 points while also pulling eight rebounds. Rible posted her fourth straight double-double and her 10th of the season. Danielle Leyfert added 13 points while Megan Dellegrotti added 13 points and five assists. Delaware has now had four scorers in double figures in five straight games.

The game featured five ties in the opening 10 minutes before New Hampshire took its last lead of the game at 20-19 with 8:17 left in the first half. But Delaware responded with a 17-2 run over the next five minutes to go up 36-22 and never looked back. Dellegrotti (eight points) and Leyfert (six points) keyed the run with 14 of the 17 points during the run. The Hens led by at least 15 points the entire second half and enjoyed their biggest lead at 63-38 with 10:39 left to play.
