WEST HARTFORD, CT -- The University of Delaware won it at the line Monday night as the Blue Hens converted a school record 40 of 49 free throws on their way to a 75-62 America East women's basketball victory over host Hartford at the Chase Family Center.

The Blue Hens (15-9, 9-6 America East) put four scorers in double figures as Cindy Johnson hit for 18 points, Danielle Leyfert scored 16 points, Renee Baker added 12 points and nine rebounds, and Megan Dellegrotti chipped in with 11 points. The four also combined to hit 33 of 39 free throws.

Delaware, which matched its entire win total (15-40) from the last two seasons with the win, hit on 27 of 33 from the charity stripe in the second half to pull away. The Hens entered the game ranked 17th in NCAA Division I in free throw shooting with a .732 mark. The 40 free throws broke the previous UD record of 39 vs. Hartford Feb. 7, 1997.
