The University of Delaware women's basketball team (5-3) defeated James Madison (5-4) 67-57 at the Bob Carpenter Center on Saturday.

The win moved Delaware's home record to 4-0 at home this year, which is the first time they have won the first four home games of the season since 1989-90.

Delaware got out of the gates quickly outscoring James Madison 30-15 to start off the first half. James Madison went on a 6-0 run to cut the lead to 30-21, but Delaware went into the half leading 33-25. James Madison went on a 13-4 run to start the second half and took a 39-38 lead. The game went back and forth for about five minutes until Megan Dellegrotti (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) hit a three pointer with 7:22 left to break a tie at 46.

The Blue Hens went on a 9-0 run to put them up 55-46, and never looked back as they won 67-57.

Delaware was led by Suzanne Street (Butler, Pa/Butler) who had a season-high 20 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. Delaware also got a big game out of Danielle Leyfert (Vienna, Va./Oakton) who had 17 points, six rebounds and a Delaware season-high six assists.

James Madison was led by Mistiza Colebank and Becky Wollenberg who had 15 points each. Colebank also had five assists in the game.
