DANIELLE

STREET Started off 1998-99 campaign strong but struggled with some nagging injuries toward the middle of the season...should bounce back this season and provide the Hens with a good offensive and defensive presence on the frontline...averaged 4.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg and had 19 blocks on the season... had a season-high 20 points and four blocks against James Madison (12/12/98) and a season-high 13 rebounds against UNLV (11/28/98)...played second season at Delaware last year after transferring from Ohio University...led America East and ranked 19th in the NCAA in blocked shots (56 for 2.1 blpg average; 2nd highest season total in UD history), led team in rebounding (7.4 rpg; 7th in America East) and field goal pct. KOREN Transfer from Seton Hall University who sat out the 1998-99 season after starting at point guard for three seasons at Seton Hall...originally recruited by Tina Martin while at Seton Hall...expected to provide leadership from the point guard spot this season...will have immediate impact at point guard slot with her speed and passing ability...classic point guard with great ball-handling and passing skills...played in 79 games with 76 starts over three seasons at Seton Hall, scoring 473 points (6.0 ppg), pulling 199 rebounds (2.5 rpg), and dishing out 389 assists (4.9 apg)...team tri-captain in 1997-98 when she averaged 4.8 ppg, dished out 155 assists (5.7 per game; 5th in Big East), and led team in three-point shooting (.327)...had career highs of 21 points (Rider) and 12 assists (Rutgers)...elementary education major with minor in psychology...active in student-athlete community service while at Seton Hall...All-American at Hazleton HS where she set school career scoring record (1,834 points) and averaged 20.3 ppg...drove cross country and camped for two weeks this past summer...Christine Koren...born June 3, 1977...daughter of Theodore and Maureen Koren...elementary education major at Delaware.

CARRIE TIMMINS Outstanding point guard prospect who will be redshirting the 1999-2000 season..should make an impact in the 2000-2001 season...outstanding quickness and good ballhandler who has excellent shooting range...was a preseason Street and Smith's honorable mention High School All-American...York Daily Record Division II Player of the Year MVP of the Blue Star All East Camp and a member of the District III All-Star Team at New Oxford High School...also lettered in softball...Carrie Elizabeth Timmins..born June 17, 1981...daughter of Michael and Christine Timmins...middle of three children...father played football at Clarion (Pa.) University...cousin, Becky Timmins, is an assistant women's basketball coach at Princeton...exercise physiology major at Delaware.
KRISTIN MILLS Local product who has good scoring ability...will redshirt this season for Delaware...one of the greatest all-around athletes in state history...scored 2,131 career points becoming the first female in Delaware history to score over 2,000 points in a career...first-team All-State her last three seasons...played volleyball, was a placekicker on the football team and a pitcher for the state champion baseball team at Caravel Academy...honor student and Homecoming Queen...National Honor Society student...freshman Class President...Kristin Elizabeth Mills...born July 14, 1981...daughter of William and Carol Mills...both parents are UD graduates...seventh person in family to attend Delaware...also plays the trumbone...secondary education major at Delaware with a minor in computer science.
ALLISON TRAPP Transfer from East Carolina who will sit out the 1999-2000 season per NCAA transfer rules...big guard who is explosive off the dribble...has ability to score and is extremely athletic...good open court player who should help the Blue Hens play up tempo when she joins the team in 2000-2001...averaged 8.6 ppg for East Carolina in 1998-99...three-year letterwinner in basketball at West Catholic HS...first-team All-Catholic League honors in senior year on league championship team...garnered All-City honors during junior and senior years....Allison Juffure Trapp...born Oct. 30, 1980...daughter of Norman and Janice Trapp...criminal justice major at Delaware...youngest of three children.
