NEWARK, DE -- Junior forward Danielle Leyfert scored 21 points and pulled 10 rebounds and junior guard Cindy Johnson had 20 points, six rebounds, and seven assists as the University of Delaware women's basketball team overwhelmed Legacy USA 96-47 in an exhibition game Thursday night at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The Hens, who went 2-0 for the exhibition season, will open the regular season next Friday, Nov. 19 at home vs. Monmouth.

Delaware led from start to finish, jumping out to a 47-19 halftime lead and never looking back. The Hens took command of the boards early and held a 67-40 advantage for the game. Junior forward Renee Baker had a game-high 16 rebounds and added nine points while Lindsay Davis came off the bench to pull 12 rebounds and eight points.

Legacy, an amateur team based in Baltimore, shot just 20 percent in the first half (6 of 30) and committed 19 turnovers for the game. Jurice Hardin (Alabama State) led the Legacy with 10 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out late in the game. Barbara Lafasciano (Georgia Tech) added 12 points and six rebounds.
