The Blue Hens also lost an out of conference
match to William & Mary 3-1 in the second match
of the day Saturday. William & Mary stormed out
of the gates, winning the first game 15-2. The two
teams split the next two games with William &
Mary winning 15-10 in the second game and Delaware
capturing the third set 15-12. The Tribe finished
out the match by winning 15-6 in the fourth set. In
the second match the Blue Hens were led by
Carlyn Cangiano (Centennial/Ellicot City,
MD) who had 10 kills and nine digs. Lapinski also
chipped in with five kills and 10 digs. Kristen
Arbuckle (Palmer Trinity/Miami, Fla.) led
Delaware with 29 assists. William & Mary was
led by Ellen Gardowicz who had 16 kills and 15
assists.
