Ohio University Invitational Delaware vs. Alabama-Birmingham Sept. 12, 1998 L 0-3 The University of Delaware volleyball team finished third in the Ohio Invitational after a loss to the University of Alabama-Birmingham 3-0. The Hens lost the first two sets 15-9 and then lost a close third set 15-13. Kristen Merrill, who was named to the All-Tournament team, led the Blue Hens with a double-double in kills and digs. She led Delaware with 15 kills and had 10 digs on the match. Jennifer Wanner led the Blue Hens in digs with 13. Freshman Kelsey Manning also had ten digs for the match. Sadie Bjornstad had 34 assists for the Hens. Alabama-Birmingham def.
