In the opening match, the Blue Hens were swept by Ohio University 3-0. The match scores were 15-6, 15-0, 15-10. Delaware was led by outside hitter Kristen Merrill with eight kills and six digs. Carlyn Cangiano led the team with eight digs. In the afternoon match, Delaware lost a tough five set match to University of Alabama at Birmingham 15-1, 8-15, 8-15, 15-6, 15-6. Cangiano led the Blue Hens with ten kills and 16 digs. Sadie Bjornstad had 30 assists in a losing effort. Merrill had another strong game with nine kills and 14 digs. Ohio def.
