The University of Delaware women's volleyball broke out of a three-match losing streak in a big way with a 3-0 sweep over host Loyola in a non-league match Wednesday night at Reitz Arena. Kristen Merrill recorded team highs of 13 kills and 22 digs and Jennifer Wanner added 10 kills and seven digs to lead the Blue Hen(3-6) to a 15-13, 15-9, 15-10 victory over the winless Greyhounds (0-9). The Blue Hens defeated Loyola for the 26th straight time since the 1984 season. Breigh Hickman added seven kills, Sadie Bjornstad dished out 39 assists, and Carlyn Cangiano added six kills and 13 digs to lead the Blue Hens, who played for the fourth straight match without top player Joanna Dusza (shoulder injury). Loyola got 12 kills from Jaci Kight and 11 kills and 13 digs from Shauna Lagatol but hit negative .062 as a team.
