At Delaware: Will challenge for a starting position this season as an outside hitter.

2004: Appeared in 27 matches and 96 games (missed five matches with an injury) • ranked second on the Blue Hens with 40 aces and 316 digs, and was fourth with 285 kills • posted double-digits kills in 16 matches, including 14 straight • named Delaware Invitational Most Valuable Player and the CAA Player of the Week after her performance in the tournament • recorded a career-high 22 kills and a season-best 22 digs against Temple on September 14 • also had 22 kills versus Central Connecticut four days later. 2003: Appeared in 96 games as a freshman • one of only two players to start all 28 matches during her rookie season • was fourth on the team with 173 kills • had a .112 hitting percentage • second on the team in aces with 26 • third on the team in digs with 226.

High School: Two-time all-area and all-conference selection • awarded All-American honors in 2002 by the Amateur Athletics Association (AAU) • led Downers Grove HS to a 36-4 record and the 2002 Class AA state championship in Illinois as a senior. Club Team: Club Elite’s 18 Rock • qualified for Junior Olympics Tournament in Atlanta during the spring of 2003.

Personal: Claire Therese McCormack • born December 2, 1984 • daughter of James and Patricia McCormack • has three sisters - Amy (22), Faye (18) and Celia (16) • member of Women in Business and Business Student’s Association at Delaware • participated in team’s Go Girl Go program • marketing/management major at Delaware with a minor in international business.
