Hofstra 13, Delaware 1 April 14, 2002     Laurie Erickson had an RBI double in a losing effort for Delaware.   HEMPSTEAD, NY -- Hofstra scored in each of its four at-bats Sunday afternoon to cruise to a 13-1 win over Delaware and complete a three-game sweep of their Colonial Athletic Association softball series. The Pride (14-24, 4-2) broke a 1-1 tie wide open with seven runs in the bottom of the second. Hofstra sent 11 batters to the plate in the inning, chasing starter Amanda Cariello after 1-2/3 innings of work. The biggest hit of the inning came when Stephanie Kenney smacked a three-run homer to give Hofstra a 8-1 lead that signalled the end of Cariello's day. Kenney picked up the win, allowing three hits in three innings of work. Sara DeAngelis pitched two hitless innings to close out the game for the Pride. Laurie Erickson, who went 3-for-4 in Saturday's doubleheader, drove in the lone Delaware run with an RBI double in the second. Heather Brousseau also homered for Hofstra.
