At Delaware: Highly-touted pitcher who had an outstanding freshman season...2003: Went 8-6 as a freshman with a 1.98 ERA...appeared in 18 games, logging 102-2/3 innings of work...set a UD record for fewest walks per seven innings (0.477)...walked just seven batters all season and had only one appearance in which she walked more than one batter...struck out 68 batters...fired seven complete games, including three shutouts...in her second collegiate game against Canisius, she fired a six-hit shutout and struck out 11, helping her earn CAA Rookie of the Week...fired a two-hit shutout against Drexel (April 18)...threw a four-hit shutout against Towson (May 3) and followed that with 2-2/3 innings of shutout relief the following day to beat the Tigers &endash; helping her earn CAA Pitcher of the Week honors...three of her six losses were one-run games.

High School: Milwaukee Journal Sentinal Female Athlete of the Year, Softball Player of the Year and All-Area and All-State selection as a senior...set records as a senior for strikeouts (242), lowest ERA (0.16) and least walks (four in 479 batters faced)...also played volleyball at South Milwaukee HS...went 20-1 as a senior, leading her team to the Southeast Conference title, with her lone loss coming in a 13-inning 1-0 game.

Personal: Lindsay R. Jones...born March 22, 1984 in Milwaukee, WI...daughter of Alan and Vicki Jones...middle of three children...visual communications major at Delaware...was an extra in a Disney movie over the summer with Bernie Mac.
