CC. GAMBLING ACTIVITIES

1. All Athletics staff members, as well as student-athletes and conference staff members are strictly prohibited from any involvement with gambling activities related to intercollegiate or professional athletics.

2. Examples of prohibited activities include:

a. Provision of information regarding intercollegiate athletics competition to individuals involved in organized gambling activities.

b. Solicitation of a bet on any intercollegiate team.

c. Acceptance of a bet on any team representing the institution.

d. Solicitation or acceptance of a bet on intercollegiate competition for any item with tangible value (e. g. , cash, shirt, dinner)

e. Participation, through a bookmaker, parlay card, etc. , in any gambling activity involving intercollegiate or professional athletics.

3. Any such involvement in gambling is strictly prohibited, not acceptable and there will be zero tolerance for it.

4. Each head coach is responsible for informing his/her squad of NCAA/UD gambling policies prior to the beginning of each season.

5. All coaches, staff and student-athletes are obligated to report any knowledge or suspicion of impermissible gambling activities to the office of the Director of Athletics.
