University of Delaware Places 119 Student-Athletes on CAA Winter/Spring Commissioner’s Academic Award List

RICHMOND, VA -- The University of Delaware has placed 119 student-athletes on the Colonial Athletic Association Winter/Spring Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll, the league has announced.

Student-athletes who participated in the CAA winter and spring sports of men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s swimming, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s outdoor track, men’s golf, softball, and baseball were eligible for the award. Student-athletes must carry a cumulative 3.2 or better grade point index or have earned a 3.2 or better gpa for the spring semester to be eligible.

Combined with the CAA fall award winners, the University of Delaware had 177 student-athletes honored for their academic achievements during the 2005-06 season.

Leading the Blue Hens was the women’s track and field team with 33 award recipients followed by men’s track and field with 20, women’s swimming and diving with 17, men’s swimming and diving with 13, and men’s tennis with seven.

Below were the sport by sport honorees.
