PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The University of Delaware men’s tennis team closed its 2005 fall season by posting a 7-0 shutout at La Salle Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Jesse Carl (Northbrook, IL/Glenbrook North) defeated Marco Onorato 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, while senior Adam Liebman (Westport, CT/Staples) posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Ross Flockerzie at No. 2. Senior Josh Ditman (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) recorded a 6-2, 6-3 win over Erick Glick at No. 3, and sophomore Jason Hanschmann (Palatine, IL/Palatine) defeated Scott Karwowski 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4.

Freshman Nolan Greenberg (Glendale, WI/Nicolet) posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Chris Butera at No. 5, while sophomore Jonathan Schwartz (Roslyn Heights, NY/Wheatley School) shut out Corey Hansen 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

Carl and Hanschmann defeated Onorato and Karwowski, 9-7, at No. 1 doubles, while Greenberg and senior Philip Wayne (Huntington, NY/Huntington) recorded an 8-2 win over Butera and Glick at No. 2. Ditman and Schwartz completed the sweep for the Blue Hens by topping Flockerzie and Hansen, 8-2, at No. 3.

Delaware concludes its fall season with a 3-0 record, while the Explorers fall to 2-4.
