DELAND, FL -- The University of Delaware men's tennis team picked up wins from John Tully (right) in singles and from the doubles team of Philip Wayne and Sammy Carl but dropped a 6-1 non-league decision to host Stetson in the final match of its annual spring break trip to Florida.

The Blue Hens, who went 3-1 for the trip, had a four-match win streak snapped to fall to 8-3 on the season. Delaware, which lost for the first time since March 13, will return to action this Sunday, April 3 at home vs. Bucknell. Stetson improved to 15-4 with the victory.

Tully posted a victory over Stetson's Marcus Echtler at the No. 1 singles spot, posting a 6-3 win in the first set and going up 4-2 in the second set before Echtler retired. Tully improved to 12-9 on the season and won his 54th career singles match, moving him to within three of the Delaware career record of 57 set by Jon Zolin in 1971-75.
