Delaware 144.5, Towson 93.5 January 13, 1999 TOWSON, MD -- Sophomore Luke Schenck captured three first place finishes to lead the University of Delaware men and Jennifer Haus, Amanda Stouffer, Sara Dyson, and Tanya Mainville each won two events to pace the UD women in an America East swimming and diving sweep over host Towson Wednesday afternoon. The Delaware men (4-5) posted a 144.5-93.5 win over Towson while the Blue Hen women (5-4) defeated the Tigers 135-102. Schenck (Erie Cathedral Prep/Edinboro, PA) won the 1,000 freestyle in 10:16.46, the 400 individual medley in 4:24.62, and the 500 freestyle in 4:54.15 to place the Blue Hen men, who won 10 of the 13 events. Also for the Hens, Brian Aston won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, Mike Zambarano captured the 50 freestyle (21.69) and 100 freestyle (48.46), Ryan Fauth won the 200 freestyle (1:47.0), and Tom Maday won the 200 breaststroke (2:11.85). Highlighting the women's victory were double victories from Haus (St. Mark's/Newark, DE) in the 200 freestyle (1:59.13) and 500 freestyle (5:12.77), Mainville (Cheshire HS, CT) in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving, Stouffer (O.J. Roberts/Spring City, PA) in the 50 freestyle (25.48) and 100 freestyle (55.93), and Dyson in the 400 individual medley (4:45.01 tie with teammate Amy Spooner) and 200 breaststroke (2:27.55). Other Blue Hen wins came in the 400 medley relay (4:12.16) and from Kathryn Fryer in the 200 butterfly (2:16.57). Men's Results: Delaware def.
