TOWSON, MD -- The University of Delaware men won nine events and the UD women captured five races but it wasn’t enough as the Blue Hens were swept by host Towson in a Colonial Athletic Association swimming and diving dual meet Saturday afternoon.

The Towson men edged Delaware 153-147 while the Tiger women posted a 173.5-123.5 victory over the Blue Hens. The Delaware women had an eight-meet dual streak snapped to fall to 10-2 (4-2 CAA) while the UD men fell to 5-5 (3-2 CAA).

The Delaware men won nine of the 16 events but it was Towson’s depth that won it for the Tigers. Andrew Zinn captured four events as he won the 50 freestyle (21.23) and 100 freestyle (47.48) and teamed with John Ohlhaver (at right), Brad Damtoft, and Adam Blomberg to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:27.95) and combined with Adam Mullan, Mark Erdosy, and Blomberg to take the 200 medley relay (1:38.38).
