Delaware Diving Invitational

Larks Leads Blue Hen Men

 

NEWARK, DE -- Sophomore Megan Rodgers (Lower Merion/Ardmore, PA) placed third in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events for the University of Delaware women and sophomore Lavar Larks (Mt. Pleasant HS) placed fourth in the men's three-meter event to lead the Blue Hens at the UD Diving Invitational Saturday at Rawstrom Natatorium.

Rowan's Amber Funk was the meet's top performer as she captured both the women's one-meter dive (207.1 points) and three-meter dive (213.4). Delaware, Rowan, Lafayette, and West Chester took part in the meet.

For Delaware, Rodgers was third in the one-meter with a score of 184.85 and third in the three-meter with a score of 190.4. Junior Megan Schuster (Newark HS) placed fourth in the one-meter (179.3) and fourth in the three-meter (171.2) events.

In the men's meet, Larks was fourth in the three-meter (211.8) and fifth in the one-meter (171.8). Lafayette's Mike Sanda won the one-meter (229.2) while Rowan's Sean Courtney won the three-meter (222.05).
