
High School: Four-year standout on defense at Severna Park High School for coaches Mike Bellotte and Tim Beardmore...also played one season of football as an offensive lineman...led lacrosse team to a four-year record of 65-3, including a perfect 17-0 mark in 2004 when team captured the state title...earned all-county, All-Baltimore Sun, and All-Annapolis Capital honors as both a junior and senior...also named to second team All-Metro squad as a senior in 2005...honor roll student.
At Delaware: Third-year team member...has earned one letter....sophomore who will take over role as one of team's top longstick midfielders and also as a defenseman...expected to be key member of faceoff unit as a wing player...has good size at 6-3, 205 lbs.
2007 Season: Saw action in six games, all in a backup role, as a defenseman and longstick midfielder in leading Delaware to the Colonial Athletic Association title and an NCAA Final Four berth...played vs. Saint Joseph's, Manhattan, Mt. St. Mary's, Albany, Robert Morris, and in NCAA national semifinal game vs. Johns Hopkins...did not have a shot or point...picked up two groundballs (vs. Saint Joseph's and Mt. St. Mary's)...keyed a defense that ranked No. 2 nationally in man-down defense (.817) and No. 16 in scoring defense (8.05).
2006 Season: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility.
Personal: Sean Patrick Kostkowski...son of Ray and Maria Kostkowski...has one younger brother...history major at Delaware...both parents work in real estate...worked in real estate during the summer...enjoys playing racquetball, golf, and wakeboarding during his spare time. |
