High School: Played football and lacrosse at Ridgefield High School...defenseman in lacrosse and a lineman in football...three-year starter in both sports...led football team state Division II title in 2001 and 2002...earned all-conference honors in both sports as a senior.

At Delaware: Fifth-year senior who has been a key member of Delaware defensive unit through two NCAA Tournament seasons...two-year letterwinner...has battled through an injury-plagued career...fast, explosive, and aggressive defender...outstanding at creating transition offense...has played in 45 career games with 31 starts...has posted 62 career groundballs.

2007 Season: Played in 18 games with 14 starts and played a key role on defense for Delaware team that captured the Colonial Athletic Association title and an NCAA Final Four berth...keyed a defense that ranked No. 2 nationally in man-down defense (.817) and No. 16 in scoring defense (8.05)...did not score or have a shot on goal...collected 19 groundballs and caused 13 turnovers...caused two turnovers in NCAA Tournament win over Virginia and had season-high four groundballs in NCAA win over UMBC...also had four groundballs vs. Lehigh...did not play in regular season finale vs. Robert Morris due to an injury.

2006 Season: Started all 17 games in leading Delaware to the CAA championship game...did not score a point but attempted three shots, including two vs. Yale and one vs. Towson in regular season...collected 32 groundballs and six caushed turnovers....had five groundballs vs. Rutgers...keyed a defense that ranked No. 1 nationally in man-down defense (.811) and No. 16 in scoring defense (8.18).

2005 Season: Played in a reserve roll in first three games of season but missed the remainder of the year with injuries...recorded five groundballs...earned redshirt year...team advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

2004 Season: Appeared in seven games as a freshman in a reserve role...collected six groundballs and had two penalies for 1:30.

Personal: Patrick Michael “Pat” Biehl (“beel”)...born in Anaheim, CA...son of Michael and Vicki Biehl...oldest of three children...finance major at Delaware...has worked as a camp counselor during the summers...hobbies include skiing, playing basketball, and watching movies.
