HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year varsity performer and three-year starter in both soccer and lacrosse at Mt. St. Joseph's High School...played midfielder in both sports...led soccer to MIAA conference title in 2001 and played in the 2002 Maryland Senior All-Star Game for lacrosse...honor roll student...AT DELAWARE: Second-year player who will contribute as a midfielder and short stick defensive midfielder...aggressive player who will battle hard for groundballs...2003: One of the team's top freshmen...played in 15 games with nine starts at midfield...did not score but had six shots on goal and recorded 35 groundballs...had season-high four groundballs each vs. Drexel and Villanova...PERSONAL: Charles Denton Holmes IV...born May 4, 1984...son of Charles and Kathy Holmes...economics major at Delaware...avid skiier and wakeboarder...father played four years of lacrosse at Delaware rival Towson University...has one older sister.
