 HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in football and lacrosse at the Landon School...teammate of current UD freshman Austin Bordley...led team to three straight league titles before a second place finish his senior year...team had won 22 straight league titles...team was ranked No. 1 nationally his sophomore and junior years and No. 16 his senior year...teams were a combined 56-4 during those three seasons...earned honorable mention all-county honors and was team's defensive Most Valuable Player as a senior...three-year starter in goal...played linebacker and quarterback in football...AT DELAWARE: First-year team member...will battle with fellow freshmen Tommy Scherr and AC Vivian for backup goalkeeper spot behind Chris Collins...PERSONAL: Warner Buchanan Ball...born May 25, 1985...son of Brian and Judy Ball...history major...would like to become a Navy SEAL after graduation...one of three children...father competed in football, wrestling, and lacrosse at Brown in 1968-72...brother, Brian, was a backup goalkeeper for Delaware in 2003 but is not competing this season...enjoys distance running and writing in spare time.
