RICHMOND, VA -- Sophomore Curtis Dickson, who led the University of Delaware men’s lacrosse team to a 1-1 week in Colonial Athletic Association play, including a 12-11 victory over No. 10 ranked Drexel on Wednesday, has been named the CAA Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the period ending April 13.

An attackman from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia (Riverside High School), Dickson (at right) earned the award for the third time this season after also being honored during the weeks of February 18 and February 25. In the loss at Hofstra, Dickson netted three goals to collect his eighth hat-trick of the season and 10th of his career and also dished out two assists. His goal with with 8:48 left to play pulled Delaware to within 8-7, but Hofstra scored the next three goals to take control.

Dickson, who leads the team and the CAA in both goals (41) and points (55), has now scored a goal in 22 straight games, the fourth longest streak in UD history and longest since the 1981 season. The 41 totals goals rank No. 3 in the nation behind only Max Quinzani (43) and Zack Greer (42) from Duke.
