Five Delaware Tracksters Earn All-East Honors

BOSTON -- Five University of Delaware men's indoor track and field performers earned All-East honors Sunday by placing among the to five in their events at the IC4A Championships at the Reggie Lewis Sports Center.

As a team, the Blue Hens placed 27th overall.

Sophomore Jamin Elliott (Churchland/Portsmouth, VA) placed fifth overall in the triple jump with a school record leap of 48-11 1/2, breaking his own school record by three inches.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Mark Coyle (East/West Chester, PA), Troy Bockius (Dover HS), Joe Quigley (Salesianum), and Steve Sinko (St. Mark's HS) placed fifth overall with a time of 7:39.86, just one second over their school record time set in Saturday's preliminaries.

Also for the Hens, the distance medley relay team of Mike DiGennaro, Andrew Johnson (Dover HS), Bokah Worjolah (Dickinson), and Kevin Danahy (Dover HS) placed ninth in a time of 10:15.68.
