February 7, 2004 Sadowsky Places Second in 5,000 Meters to Lead Blue Hens
The second and final day of the non-scoring meet will begin with the remainder of the women's meet at 9 a.m. Sunday morning and will follow with the remainder of the men's section at 12:30 p.m. Nine teams are competing in the meet. Stille won the women's triple jump with a leap of 36-10 1/4 and was followed in second place by teammate Lissy Dean, who jumped to a distance of 36-5 3/4. Also for the UD women, Jessica Urbonas was second in the weight throw (41-91/4), the distance medley relay team was third in a time of 13:05.82, Stephanie Cronk was fifth in the weight throw, Leslie Wason was sixth in the 3,000 meters (11:27.58), and Lauren Palmer was sixth in the weight throw (28-7). In all, Delaware posted 11 top 10 finishes. On the men's side, Sadowsky was the Hens' top performer as he was second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:22.90. Also for the Hens, Mike Yost was third in the weight throw, Charlie Williams was fifth in the triple jump (41-5 3/4), Matt Arbaugh was fifth in the pole vault (12-3 1/2), and Ryan Benishake was sixth in the weight throw (45-1 1/2). Delaware had six top 10 finishes.
