University of Delaware Invitational

The University of Delaware women placed fourth out of eight teams and the Blue Hen men finished sixth out of eight entries as hosts of the University of Delaware Cross Country Invitational Saturday at White Clay Creek State Park. Columbia took the women's team title with a score of 37 while the University of Pennsylvania won the men's title with a score of 27. In the men's five-mile race, the Hens were led by Robb Munro who placed 26th (27:47) while Nick Barresi was 39th (28:41) and Mark Dawson was 40th (28:55). Columbia's Mike Grant won the race in a time of 25:53.

Final Men's Team Standings: 1. Penn- 27; 2. Columbia - 29; 3. Towson - 109; 4. UMBC - 124; 5. East Stroudsburg - 139; 6. Delaware - 176; 8. Lincoln - 251; 9. Morgan State - 294.
